Lazarus Arises
Note: Project was for the Games For Love Cause Jam 25
Overview: The Player controls a vampire that uses the life essence of the monsters they have defeated in battle. With the essence, they are able to use vampiric powers to defeat more monsters to replenish their life essence reservoir. Each level will have different objectives to complete to pass the level. Their main weapon is a broadsword and their powers from their heritage.
Story: On a clear night, where the moon showed all of its eminence, a new legend began. The once-forgotten 3rd Progenitor, The Apostle, Lazarus awoke from his black coffin. Awakened by Carmilla, mother of all vampires, he was instructed to stop the conflict between the human-like Hellebores and bat-like Alchemillas once and for all. However, since many centuries have passed, Lazarus has lost most of his vampiric powers. And so, the Apostle must travel through the arduous land of the Alchemillas’s home, Chloridia and fight many monsters and kin alike to regain his powers for the sake of defeating the leader of the Alchemillas, the 7th Progenitor, Nerium to end this folly for all of eternity.
